Great Wall, under the leadership of Snow Wu, is considered the leading authority for providing information to the US and Chinese governments.
Leading Source Great Wall is regarded as the authority for providing information to a variety of US media. In fact, Great Wall families have been featured in national television programs, documentaries, magazines and newspapers.
International Advocate Great Wall’s president, Snow Wu, is a Board Member of the Joint Counsel on international Children’s Services, and many countries rely on her to communicate protocol for International adoption.
10,000 families and counting!
Since it’s inception in 1996, Great Wall has assisted more than 10,000 abandoned children and families. We hope to assist in bringing many more children out of orphanages and into the care of permanent families.
Great Wall National Adoption Roundtables: In honor of the Chinese delegation’s visit on August 3, 2005, Great Wall organized two roundtable discussions in Austin, Texas. The six Chinese delegates graciously participated in both events.
More than 60 Great Wall Regional Representatives: In 2005, Great Wall expanded its Regional Representation to serve nearly every State in the US. Expanded Headquarters, Staff, Client Services and New Exclusive Travel Amenities
In 2005, Great Wall expanded its Headquarters staff in an effort to meet the growing number of families adopting form China. We also introduced new service plans and optional amenities. Great Wall families have told us how much they appreciate having the following new options:
Angel in Adoption Award
In 2003, Snow Wu was awarded the Angel in Adoption Award by the U.S. Congress for her efforts on behalf of children and families. Great Wall is proud of this prestigious and humbling honor.
April 11, 2005 - A five member deligation from the CCAA visit Great Wall.
The China Center of Adoption Affairs Visits Great Wall: April 11, 2005, a five member delegation from the China Center of Adoption Affairs visited Great Wall Headquarters in Austin, Texas. The delegates, led by Executive Director Chu, spent two days with Great Wall staff members, social workers and families in all stages of the process. Ms. Chu was delighted to meet parents and children that she had personally matched over the last decade. The Family Festival concluded as Snow Wu presented the delegates with a substantial donation to the CCAA’s Tomorrow Plan.

China’s Minister of Civil Affairs Visits Great Wall: August 3, 2005, Great Wall welcomed Minister Li of China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs and Director Lu of The China Center of Adoption Affairs, who led a six member Chinese delegation that included officials from both government agencies. The delegates enjoyed meeting Texas Governor Rick Perry, executives from the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and other Texas luminaries. But the highlight of their visit was the Great Wall Family Festival, where the delegates met parents and were entertained by children of all ages.
